My Mom Jayne 2025
"My Mom Jayne" is a 2025 documentary film directed by and starring Emmy®-winning actress Mariska Hargitay, marking her feature film directorial debut. The film explores the life and complex legacy of Hargitay's late mother, Hollywood icon Jayne Mansfield, who tragically died in a car accident when Mariska was just three years old. Through intimate interviews with her siblings (Jayne Marie Mansfield, Mickey Hargitay Jr., Zoltan Hargitay, and Tony Cimber) and archival footage, Hargitay embarks on a deeply personal journey to understand the mother she never truly knew. The documentary aims to reclaim Mansfield's story, often overshadowed by her public persona as a sex symbol, and offers a vulnerable look into Hargitay's own search for identity and reconciliation with her past. The film premiered in the Cannes Classics section of the 78th Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2025, had a limited theatrical release on June 20, 2025, and became available on HBO and Max on June 27, 2025. "My Mom Jayne" is a production of HBO Documentary Films and Mighty Entertainment, with a running time of approximately 106 minutes.
