This film is a nice mix of the familiar and the new. The basic story is well-known which can make it challenging to provide fresh perspectives. I appreciated parallels that were drawn in the film between the family's Passover meal and the actual Last Supper as lead by Jesus. Also, showing Peter's denials mixed in with the treatment of Jesus and finally the difference in the responses of Peter and Judas when each realized the enormity of his betrayal. While it may not reach "classic" status on the level of The Passion of the Christ, I will rewatch this one as a source of inspiration in the future. P. S. I also enjoyed the music used in the film.
