Ada Choi Siu-Fan (Chinese: 蔡少芬; born September 17, 1973) is a prominent Hong Kong actress. Her career began in 1991 when she was the second runner-up in the Miss Hong Kong beauty pageant, after which she signed a contract with TVB, one of Hong Kong's major television broadcasters. She quickly rose to fame for her work in TVB dramas, becoming one of their "Fa Dans" (most popular actresses) in the mid-1990s to mid-2000s, known for series like "Healing Hands" (1998-2000) and "Where the Legend Begins" (2002).In the 2010s, Choi successfully transitioned her career to mainland China, achieving significant success with her role as the cunning Empress Ula Nara Yixiu in the critically acclaimed and highly popular 2011 historical drama "Empresses in the Palace" (also known as "Zhen Huan Zhuan"). This role solidified her status as a versatile and powerful actress capable of portraying complex characters. She has also appeared in various films, including "A Chinese Odyssey Part Two – Cinderella" (1995) and "S Storm" (2016). Ada Choi is married to Chinese actor Max Zhang, whom she wed in 2008, and they have three children. She is also listed in the cast of the upcoming film "Legends of the Condor Heroes: The Gallants" (2025) as Li Ping.
