Adam Brown (born May 29, 1980, in Hungerford, Berkshire, England) is a British actor and comedian renowned for his role as Ori the dwarf in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy. He studied Performing Arts at Middlesex University, London, where he co-founded the comedy theatre troupe Plested and Brown. The troupe performed across the UK and internationally, including in Armenia, South Korea, and New Zealand. Brown has also appeared in various stage productions, such as Mother Goose and Iolanthe with the English National Opera. In addition to his acting career, he has voiced characters in children's shows like Dora the Explorer and Barney & Friends. Brown is openly gay and resides in Brighton.
