Adrienne Lau is an Asian-American singer, actress, and TV personality, born on September 7, 1983, in Hong Kong. Splitting her childhood between Hong Kong and Los Angeles, she is multilingual, speaking English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and is an alumna of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a double major in Communications and Sociology. Lau is recognized as the first Chinese-American female singer to reach the Top 20 on the U.S. Pop Billboard Sales Chart. Her career includes the release of her debut album, Hypnotic, in 2005, which featured the single "Hypnotic Love" and a collaboration with Mýa on the song "Xtacy." She has also hosted television shows in Hong Kong, such as Seoul Stars for TVB, and has entrepreneurial experience, having established a fashion business and several restaurants and bars in Hong Kong. More recently, she served as the Executive Producer and main cast member of the English reality show Crazy Celeb Social on Amazon Prime, and was an actress and co-executive producer for the 2021 film The Card Counter, executive produced by Martin Scorsese.
