Aidan Gillen, born Aidan Murphy on April 24, 1968, is an Irish actor with an extensive and celebrated career in film, television, and theatre. Known for his versatility, he has become a globally recognized figure, particularly for his roles in acclaimed television series. He first gained widespread attention for playing Stuart Alan Jones in the British series Queer as Folk and later for his role as Tommy Carcetti in the HBO series The Wire.However, he is perhaps most famous for his portrayal of the cunning and manipulative Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish in the immensely popular HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, a role that solidified his status as a major international star.
