His journey into acting began after leaving secondary school, where he briefly worked as an apprentice electrician alongside his father. Inspired by working in a cinema, he applied to the prestigious Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, graduating in 2004.Turner's early career was rooted in theatre, where he performed in several notable plays including "The Plough and the Stars," "Romeo and Juliet," and "A Cry from Heaven."
