Akihiro "Akie" Lawrence Kotabe is an American actor born on July 18, 1980, in Lansing, Michigan. He grew up primarily in Austin, Texas, and is fluent in both English and Japanese. He started his career in television, appearing in series such as Not Going Out, Mad Men, and The Man in the High Castle. He is also known for his voice work as the title character in the animated series Boyster and for roles in video games such as Horizon II: Forbidden West. His film credits include The November Man, Everly, Wonder Woman 1984, and The Roses (2025). Kotabe was nominated for Best Actor at the 2020 Madrid International Film Festival for his role in the neo-noir film, Clay's Redemption. He is a member of the Actors' Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.
