Alan Moloney
Alan Moloney is an Irish film and television producer, born in Dublin in November 1966. He began his career in film and television in 1985, initially as a researcher. In 1993, he established Parallel Film Productions in Dublin, which has become a market leader in feature film and television drama in the UK and Ireland. Over his career, Moloney has produced a diverse range of acclaimed projects, including the Golden Globe-nominated Breakfast on Pluto (2005) and the Oscar-nominated Albert Nobbs (2011), as well as Intermission (2003) and The Siege of Jadotville (2016). In 2000, he began the ambitious "Beckett on Film" project, adapting all of Samuel Beckett's stage plays for the screen. More recently, in 2024, he co-founded the production company Big Things Films with frequent collaborator Cillian Murphy. Their first feature film was the IFTA-winning Small Things Like These (2024), and their second is the 2025 Netflix film Steve, on which Moloney serves as a producer alongside Murphy.
