Aldis Hodge is a highly respected American actor known for his compelling performances in both film and television, often portraying complex and impactful characters. Born on September 20, 1986, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, to parents who both served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Hodge began his career as a child actor alongside his older brother, Edwin Hodge. His early work included appearances in commercials, print ads, and even on Broadway in the revival of "Showboat," and his film debut came in "Die Hard with a Vengeance" (1995).Hodge gained significant recognition for his role as Alec Hardison, a brilliant hacker, in the TNT series "Leverage" (2008-2012) and later reprised the role in "Leverage: Redemption" (2021-present). He has built a reputation for tackling diverse and often challenging roles, including his critically acclaimed portrayal of MC Ren in the N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton" (2015), mathematician Levi Jackson in the Oscar-nominated "Hidden Figures" (2016), and the lead role of Noah in the WGN America series "Underground" (2016-2017).
