
Alejandra Flores
Alejandra Flores is an accomplished American actress, director, and educator with a career spanning over three decades in theater, film, and television. In the 2022 Netflix film Falling for Christmas, she plays Alejandra Carlisle, the warm and grounding grandmother to Avy and mother-in-law to Jake (Chord Overstreet). Her performance was widely praised for its emotional depth, particularly in scenes where her character navigates the lingering grief of losing her daughter. Flores holds a Bachelor’s degree from the National University of Mexico and is a veteran of the stage, having performed with prestigious groups such as the Cornerstone Theater Company and the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts. She is also the founder and director of the Los Angeles Theatre Academy, where she focuses on training the next generation of performers. Her extensive television filmography includes roles in acclaimed series such as Better Call Saul (as Mrs. Cortazar), The Shield, ER, Sons of Anarchy, 24, and Southland. In recent years, she has appeared in projects like Gaslit, American Gigolo, and Bosch: Legacy. On the big screen, Flores has worked with noted directors in films such as Alfonso Arau’s A Walk in the Clouds (1995), the thriller Right at Your Door (2006), and the Jennifer Aniston comedy Friends with Money (2006).
