Alexandra Breckenridge
Alexandra Breckenridge, born on May 15, 1982, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is an American actress who began her career in the late 1990s after moving to California with her mother at age ten, where she began taking acting classes. She is the niece of actor Michael Weatherly. Breckenridge first gained recognition with supporting roles in teen comedy films like Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). Her television career includes notable roles such as reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt, Young Moira O’Hara in the first season of American Horror Story, Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead, and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. Since 2019, she has starred as the lead, Melinda "Mel" Monroe, in the popular Netflix series Virgin River. Additionally, she is well-known for her extensive voice work on the animated comedy series Family Guy, where she has voiced various characters and celebrity impressions. Breckenridge married guitarist Casey Hooper in September 2015, and they have two children, a son born in September 2016 and a daughter born in December 2017, and they reside in Georgia.
