Aline Mayagoitia
Aline Mayagoitia is a bilingual Mexican-American actress, singer, and writer. Born and raised in Mexico City, she began her acting career in theatre, film, and television at a young age, with her first professional role at seven years old. Her parents, telenovela star Alberto Mayagoitia and director Lilia Sixtos, were also involved in theater and television, which influenced her early exposure to the arts.At the age of 10, her family relocated to Austin, Texas, where she continued to train in music and dance. She later attended the University of Michigan's prestigious Musical Theatre program.Mayagoitia has an extensive career in theater, particularly in musical productions. She starred in the New York Times' Critic's Pick Forbidden Broadway: The Next Generation and has appeared regionally in productions such as Into The Woods (as Cinderella), Kinky Boots (as Lauren), In The Heights (as Nina), and Evita (as Eva Perón). From 2022 to 2024, she was part of the national tour of SIX, playing Katherine Howard. She recently made her Broadway debut in Real Women Have Curves, portraying Itzel.Her screen credits include the HBO series Love Life, and she will be seen in the upcoming film adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman (2025), starring Jennifer Lopez and directed by Bill Condon. She was also part of the 2021 ViacomCBS Comedy Showcase. Mayagoitia currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
