Alison Bartlett
Alison Bartlett is an American actress, writer, and director, born on July 14, 1971, who is most famous for portraying the character Gina Jefferson on the children's series Sesame Street from 1987 to 2015. Bartlett began her career as a child actress, appearing at age 12 in the 1984 stage production of Landscape of the Body, directed by Gary Sinise, and made her Broadway debut in the original production of David Rabe's Hurlyburly (1985). Throughout her career, she has appeared on numerous television shows, including recurring guest roles on HBO's The Sopranos and FX's Rescue Me, as well as episodic roles across the Law & Order franchise and NYPD Blue. More recently, her filmography includes The Innkeepers (2011), Submission (2017), and the upcoming films The History of Sound (2025) and Materialists (2025). She is also a director and writer, currently developing a semi-autobiographical TV series. She resides in New York City with her three children.
