Allan Ungar
Allan Ungar is a Canadian film director, writer, producer, and editor who was born in Toronto on December 21, 1988. After writing and directing four short films, he made his feature film debut with the 2014 MMA drama Tapped Out. He was 23 years old at the time and co-wrote the script with Cody Hackman, whom he met in Los Angeles. His 2015 action-thriller, Gridlocked, which he also co-wrote and directed, premiered at Fantastic Fest and won the audience award for Best Action Film at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. He is also known for the live-action fan film Uncharted (2018), which he directed and produced. Ungar's 2022 film Bandit, starring Josh Duhamel, was a critical and commercial success, debuting at number one on several streaming platforms and being the most-watched original title of 2022 on Redbox. Most recently, he directed and co-wrote the 2025 action-comedy London Calling. He is also an executive producer on the upcoming film adaptation of the video game Death Stranding.
