Alok Tewari
Alok Tewari is a versatile professional who has made significant contributions in various fields. In the realm of law, he serves as a Senior Partner at Samagra Law, specializing in General Corporate, Real Estate, and Construction Laws. With over 25 years of experience, he has been consistently ranked as a "Band 1 Lawyer" since 2015 by Chambers & Partners and has earned a spot in the "Hall of Fame" by Legal 500. His expertise includes advising both Indian and foreign companies on matters related to real estate and construction laws in India, spanning sectors such as IT & ITES, manufacturing, warehousing, retail, banking, education, hospitality, and construction. In the medical field, Dr. Alok K. Tewari is a medical oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, specializing in cancers arising from the genitourinary tract. He received his undergraduate, medical, and PhD degrees from Duke University and trained in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he also served as chief resident. He then pursued a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology through the Dana-Farber/Partners CancerCare program. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of response to therapy in prostate and testicular cancer. Dr. Tewari is also an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. In the entertainment industry, Alok Tewari is an actor known for his work in theatre, television, and film. Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia (now Serbia) to Indian parents, he moved to several countries during his childhood. He pursued a career in banking and finance before studying acting with Argentine actor and director Lorenzo Quinteros. At the age of 34, he decided to dedicate himself to acting and later earned an MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School at The New School University in New York City. He has since worked extensively in theatre (both off and on Broadway), television, and film, and speaks English, Spanish, Hindi, and is studying French.
