Álvaro Morte

Álvaro Antonio García Pérez (born in Algeciras, Spain, on February 23, 1975), known professionally as Álvaro Morte, is a prominent Spanish actor, director, and producer who has achieved global recognition for his work in both television and film. While he had a long and established career in Spain with roles in series like Planta 25, Bandolera, and El secreto de Puente Viejo, his breakout role came with the Netflix phenomenon Money Heist (original title: La Casa de Papel). As the meticulous and brilliant criminal mastermind known as "The Professor," Morte earned critical acclaim and a massive international fanbase. His success on the show led to other high-profile roles, including Logain Ablar in the Amazon Prime Video series The Wheel of Time and a starring role alongside Sydney Sweeney in the 2024 horror film Immaculate. In addition to his on-screen work, he is also a dedicated theater professional who founded his own theater company, 300 Pistolas, in 2012. He continues to expand his career with new projects, including voicing Hernán Cortés/Two-Face in the 2025 animated film, Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires.
