Amanda Balen
Amanda Balen is a Canadian professional dancer and performer, born circa 1984, who grew up near Hamilton, Ontario, and began dance classes at age three. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dance career, training with choreographer Mandy Moore. Balen's extensive career includes both film and major world tours. She was featured in the 2016 film La La Land and also appeared in A Star Is Born (2018), Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004), and on television shows like Glee, Agent Carter, American Idol, and So You Think You Can Dance. On tour, Balen traveled with Lady Gaga for both The Monster Ball Tour and The Born This Way Ball, as well as with Celine Dion's Taking Chances World Tour, and has worked with other major artists including Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, and Beyoncé. From 2023 to 2024, she served as the dance captain and associate choreographer for Taylor Swift's global phenomenon, The Eras Tour, and was featured in the concert films Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (2023) and Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show (2025), in addition to the accompanying docuseries, The End of an Era.
