Amie Donald is a New Zealand-born child actress and dancer, best known for her portrayal of the titular character in the 2022 horror film M3GAN. Born on January 29, 2010, she began her acting career with a role as Maya Monkey in the Netflix series Sweet Tooth in 2021. Donald is a highly skilled dancer, specializing in jazz, ballet, tap, contemporary, musical theatre, hip hop, and acrobatics. In 2019, she represented New Zealand at the Dance World Cup in Braga, Portugal, becoming the first performer from her country to win medals—securing silver in jazz and bronze in contemporary dance. Her performance in M3GAN was lauded for its physicality and precision. Donald performed many of her own stunts, including a "cobra rise" and running on all fours, which added to the character's unsettling presence. She also co-choreographed the viral dance sequence featured in the film. Following the success of M3GAN, Donald is set to reprise her role in the sequel, M3GAN 2.0, scheduled for release in June 2025. Amie Donald continues to be represented by the Bubblegum Talent Agency and trains at Norris Dance Studios in Papakura, Auckland.
