Amos Heller

Amos Heller is an American professional bassist, born in Charlottesville, Virginia, on March 18, 1977. His musical journey began with classical upright bass at age ten, leading him to study with virtuosos and play in the Miami University symphony orchestra before transitioning to the electric bass in his teens. After spending a decade immersed in the Cincinnati music scene, touring with acts like blues legend Chris Beard and RCA rock act July for Kings, Heller relocated to Nashville in 2005. He quickly established himself, working with country artists like Josh Gracin and Mindy MacCready, but his career-defining role began in 2007 when he joined Taylor Swift's touring band, "The Agency," as her dedicated bass player. Heller is Taylor Swift's longest-serving band member, having anchored the rhythm section for every one of her major world tours, from The Fearless Tour through The Red Tour, The 1989 World Tour, the Reputation Stadium Tour, and the historic The Eras Tour (2023-2024). He is known for his versatility, seamlessly shifting between the demands of country, rock, and pop genres. Following the conclusion of The Eras Tour, Heller shared an emotional social media tribute reflecting on the "ride of a lifetime," emphasizing the deep, personal impact the tour and his fifteen-plus-year collaboration with Swift had on him as a player and a person.
