Amy Usherwood is an Australian actress and model, born on December 6, 1982, in Sydney, New South Wales. She is best known for her role as Lydia in the 2022 sci-fi horror film M3GAN, which garnered significant attention and commercial success. Usherwood trained at the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney, graduating in 2007 . Her early career was marked by notable achievements, including winning Best Director, Most Promising Actor, and Best Production awards at the 2002 Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival in Wellington, New Zealand. In addition to her work in M3GAN, Usherwood has appeared in various film and television projects. She portrayed Helpdesk in the 2012 film Eternity, earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2013 New Zealand Film Awards . She also played Louise Hillary in the 2016 television series Hillary, based on the life of Sir Edmund Hillary .
