Andrew Lowe is an influential Irish film producer and co-founder of Element Pictures, a prominent production company established in 2001 alongside Ed Guiney. Element Pictures has been instrumental in producing and distributing critically acclaimed films and television series, including Room, The Favourite, Poor Things, and the television adaptations of Sally Rooney's novels Normal People and Conversations with Friends . Born in February 1968, Lowe is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin. Before founding Element Pictures, he served as Head of Business Affairs at the Irish Film Board from 1999 to 2001 and worked as a freelance production accountant from 1993 to 1999 . In addition to his production work, Lowe is actively involved in the Irish film industry. He is a board member of Screen Producers Ireland and serves as Vice Chair of the IBEC Audiovisual Federation . Lowe also holds directorial roles in Volta Pictures, a film distribution company, and in the Light House Cinema in Dublin and Pálás Cinema in Galway. Under Lowe's leadership, Element Pictures has garnered numerous accolades, including Oscar nominations for Room and Poor Things, as well as Golden Globe and BAFTA awards for The Favourite .
