Angelo Duro

Angelo Duro is an Italian stand-up comedian, actor, and writer, born on August 20, 1982, in Palermo. He began his career in 2010 when he was discovered by Davide Parenti, the creator of the Italian television program Le Iene, after a live performance. Duro became known for his provocative segments, including "Nuccio Vip" and "Il cantante senza pubblico," which showcased his sharp wit and irreverent humor. In 2017, he gained significant popularity with his one-man show Perché mi stai guardando?, which sold out theaters across Italy and was later broadcast on Italia 1. The following year, he published his first book, Il piano B, under the Mondadori publishing house. In 2023, Duro made a notable appearance at the Sanremo Music Festival, delivering a monologue that sparked both applause and controversy due to its edgy content. In early 2025, he starred in his debut film, Io sono la fine del mondo (I Am the End of the World), directed by Gennaro Nunziante. The film was a commercial success, grossing over €9 million at the Italian box office, despite minimal traditional promotion. Duro's unique approach to comedy and his ability to blend humor with social commentary have made him a distinctive voice in the Italian entertainment industry.
