Ann Akinjirin

Ann Akinjirin is a British actress and writer of Nigerian descent, born on May 28. She is best known for her role as Bobbi in Marvel's Moon Knight (2022), and has appeared in various other television series including I May Destroy You (2020), Beforeigners (2021), Trigonometry (2020), and Strike (2018–2020). Additionally, she has portrayed characters in Brave New World (2020) and The Javone Prince Show (2015) . Akinjirin's versatility extends beyond acting; she is also an accomplished writer, director, and producer. She served as the Artistic Director of Harts Theatre Company from 2010 to 2020, where she produced festivals such as the Young Harts Writing Festival and Sound of Mind, an audio and visual arts mental wellbeing festival . Currently, she is starring as Aunt Fanny in the BBC adaptation of Enid Blyton’s The Famous Five series . Akinjirin is also passionate about creative accessibility within theatre. She is currently working as a movement director for Deafinitely Theatre and collaborating with the National Youth Theatre as a writer and director to create inclusive shows for deaf and visually impaired audiences. Her training includes attending Sylvia Young Theatre School, the BRIT School, the University of Bedfordshire, and Drama Studio London .
