Anna Diop is a Senegalese-American actress and model, born on February 6, 1988, in Dakar, Senegal, who moved to the United States at the age of six. She began her on-screen career with a recurring role on the sitcom Everybody Hates Chris and steadily progressed to main cast roles on network television, including the supernatural mystery The Messengers (2015) and the Fox thriller 24: Legacy (2017). Diop achieved widespread recognition for portraying the extraterrestrial princess and superhero Koriand'r / Starfire in the DC Universe/HBO Max series Titans, a role she held from 2018 to 2023. She has also made an impact in feature films, appearing in Jordan Peele's horror movie Us (2019) and receiving significant critical praise for her lead role in the psychological thriller Nanny (2022), for which she won a Rising Star Award. Diop continues to expand her filmography, with roles in the upcoming film The Man in My Basement (2025) and The Book of Clarence (2023).
