In 2022, Halberg and Cohen created Blink, a harrowing short made for Sony’s Scream Gems “Horror Lab,” which showcased her knack for tension-driven storytelling and led directly to their 2024 feature Tarot—Halberg’s feature writing/directing debut with Cohen, released by Screen Gems.Tarot grossed around $50 million worldwide from an $8 million budget . Halberg has expanded into multiple formats recently: she co-wrote and executive produced Netflix’s upcoming thriller House/Wife, produced and released Distant (Long Distance) via Amblin/Universal, and executive produced the scripted podcast Classified, now being adapted for TV . She also co-created and co-showran Ballistic, a series starring Jennifer Carpenter, currently in production for New Regency. Active in commercials early on—over 100 campaigns for global brands—Halberg is known for balancing strong production discipline with high-concept genre storytelling, often with collaborative synergy alongside Spenser Cohen and their production banner.
