Annalise Basso is an American actress born on December 2, 1998, in St. Louis, Missouri. She began her acting career as a child, with early roles in television commercials and small guest appearances on TV series. Her first feature film appearance was in "Ghost Image" (2007), and she gained attention for her role as Eden Hamby on HBO's "True Blood." Basso continued to build her filmography with appearances in films like "Bedtime Stories" (2008), "Love Takes Wing" (2009), and "Standing Up" (2013), which was her first lead role in a feature film and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. She is particularly known for her collaborations with director Mike Flanagan, starring in his horror films "Oculus" (2013) and "Ouija: Origin of Evil" (2016). Her credits also include a recurring role in "The Red Road" (2014-2015), and she gained further recognition for her role as Vespyr in the critically acclaimed film "Captain Fantastic" (2016), which earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. More recently, she starred as LJ Folger in the post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller series "Snowpiercer" (2020–2022). Basso has two older siblings, Alexandria and Gabriel Basso, who are also actors.
