Anne Marie Cancelmi (born July 31, 1975), known professionally as Annie Parisse, is an American actress with a versatile career spanning television, film, and stage. Born in Anchorage, Alaska, she grew up in Mercer Island, Washington, before moving to New York City at 18 to attend Fordham University, where she majored in theater and took on lead roles in classical productions like Medea and Antigone.Parisse first gained widespread recognition for her role as Julia Snyder on the daytime soap opera As the World Turns from 1998 to 2003, for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination. She then became a familiar face on television as Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Borgia on Law & Order from 2005 to 2006. Her television credits also include notable roles in The Pacific (as Sgt. Lena Basilone), Rubicon, The Following (as FBI special agent Debra Parker), Vinyl, Friends from College, The Looming Tower, The First, Paterno, Mrs. America, Succession, Billions, and Evil.On the big screen, Parisse has appeared in a variety of films, such as How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003), National Treasure (2004), Monster-in-Law (2005), Prime (2005), Definitely, Maybe (2008), My Own Love Song (2010), One for the Money (2012), Price Check (2012), Wild Canaries (2014), and And So It Goes (2014).
