Born Antonio Pérez Agudo on February 2, 1977, in Baza, Granada, Antonio Pagudo is a versatile Spanish actor whose career has flourished across theater, television, and film. He began his professional journey with a solid foundation at the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (RESAD) in Madrid and early stints in theater with the comedy group Yllana. Pagudo's rise to national fame was cemented by his long-standing role as Javier Maroto in the hit comedy series "La que se avecina", a character he portrayed for over a decade. His television repertoire is extensive, featuring significant roles in Cuéntame cómo pasó, the Canal Sur series Arrayán, and the Antena 3 comedy Benidorm, where he played the lead character, Xabier Zurita. In the 2020s, Pagudo has solidified his presence in the Spanish film industry with a string of successful ensemble comedies. His recent filmography includes standout performances in Villaviciosa de al lado (2016), Bajo terapia (2023)—which received critical acclaim—and Fenómenas (2023). In 2025, he remains a central figure in the audiovisual scene, having started the year as a co-host for the 4th Carmen Awards (Andalusian Film Academy) alongside Macarena Gómez. His 2025 work also includes the Disney+ thriller series Ladrones: La tiara de santa Águeda, where he plays Julio, and a supporting role in the romantic heist comedy "Me has robado el corazón", directed by Chus Gutiérrez.
