Ariel Levy

Born on September 28, 1984, in Santiago, Chile, Ariel Levy is a highly versatile entertainer known for his dual careers as a prominent actor and a professional wrestler. He rose to fame in Chile through his long-term partnership with director Nicolás López, debuting in the comedy Promedio Rojo (2004) before achieving household name status as Javier Fernández in the popular Qué pena tu... film trilogy. His work with López often blended humor with social commentary, making him one of the most recognizable faces in modern Chilean cinema. In addition to his film work, he enjoyed a prolific television career, starring in youth-oriented series like Vivir con 10 and later transitioning into more mature roles in dramas such as La Sexóloga and Infiltradas. Levy is perhaps best known to international horror audiences for his role as Alejandro in Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno (2013). In the film, he portrayed the charismatic but ultimately ruthless and self-serving leader of the activist group, whose secret motivations lead his peers into a nightmare. This role, along with his performance in the 2012 disaster thriller Aftershock, established him as a key figure in the "Chilewood" movement—a wave of Chilean-produced genre films designed for a global market. Beyond his acting, Levy is also a talented musician, serving as the vocalist and guitarist for the garage rock band Don Nadie. In 2015, Levy surprised fans by launching a professional wrestling career in his native Chile with the promotion CNL, where he quickly became a top star and National Champion. His wrestling persona, often leaning into his "Hollywood" celebrity status, allowed him to tour internationally, eventually leading him to the United States. He has competed for major promotions including All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and has held championships in Florida-based Coastal Championship Wrestling (CCW). As of early 2026, Levy continues to balance his athletic and artistic pursuits, remaining active in the independent wrestling circuit while appearing in Latin American film projects like All of it Ends (2024).
