Asa Germann

Asa August Germann is an American actor born on December 27, 1997, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of actors Greg Germann, known for his roles in Ally McBeal and Grey's Anatomy, and Christine Mourad. Germann began his acting career on stage in Los Angeles, appearing in theater productions such as Suburbia, This Is Our Youth, Orphans, and The Red Coat. Before his breakout role on television, he gained early screen experience in short films like Two Little Boys (2020) and Caviar (2021). Germann rose to international prominence for his main role as Sam Riordan in the Amazon Prime Video superhero series Gen V (2023–present), a spin-off of The Boys. His portrayal of Sam, a powerful "supe" struggling with severe mental health challenges and hallucinations, earned him critical praise for its complexity and emotional range. To prepare for the role's physicality, he underwent extensive stunt training, during which he broke his arm during the production of the first season. He has also appeared as the character in the fourth season of The Boys. In addition to his work in the superhero genre, Germann appeared in the Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and has been cast in the horror sequel Scream 7, scheduled for release in February 2026.
