Ashley Zukerman is an Australian-American actor acclaimed for his compelling performances across television, film, and theater. Born on December 30, 1983, in Santa Monica, California, he relocated to Melbourne, Australia, with his family at the age of two. Raised in a Jewish household, Zukerman pursued his education at the Victorian College of the Arts, graduating in 2006. He is the older brother of science journalist and podcaster Wendy Zukerman. Zukerman's acting career began in theater, with notable roles including Timms in The History Boys and Joe Pitt in Angels in America. He gained prominence in Australian television as Senior Constable Michael Sandrelli in the series Rush, earning a Logie Award nomination for Most Outstanding New Talent. His portrayal of Jesse Banks in the political thriller The Code earned him the AACTA Award for Best Lead Actor in a Television Drama in 2014. In the United States, Zukerman has appeared in several high-profile television series. He portrayed Dr. Charlie Isaacs in WGN America's Manhattan, Vice President Peter MacLeish in Designated Survivor, and Nate Sofrelli in Succession.
