Ashton Kutcher is an American actor, producer, and entrepreneur born on February 7, 1978, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He first gained prominence as Michael Kelso on the Fox sitcom That '70s Show (1998–2006). Kutcher transitioned into film with roles in Dude, Where's My Car? (2000), The Butterfly Effect (2004), and No Strings Attached (2011). He also starred in the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men (2011–2015) and the Netflix series The Ranch (2016–2020). In 2022, he appeared in the comedy-thriller Vengeance. Beyond acting, Kutcher is a successful venture capitalist. He co-founded A-Grade Investments, which invested in companies like Uber, Airbnb, and Spotify. In 2015, he and business partner Guy Oseary launched Sound Ventures, managing over $1 billion in assets. In 2023, Sound Ventures participated in a $235 million funding round for AI company Hugging Face, now valued at $4.5 billion. Kutcher is also known for his philanthropic efforts. In 2009, he co-founded Thorn (formerly DNA Foundation) with Demi Moore, aiming to combat child sexual exploitation and human trafficking through technology. In 2023, following controversy over letters he wrote in support of convicted rapist Danny Masterson, Kutcher resigned as chairman of Thorn.
