Ashutosh Rana, born Ashutosh Ramnarayan Neekhra on November 10, 1967, is a highly respected Indian actor, author, and television personality, known for his impactful performances, particularly in negative and supporting roles. Hailing from Gadarwara, Madhya Pradesh, he earned his education from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University and later from the National School of Drama. He began his career in television with the serial Swabhimaan and gained widespread recognition in cinema for his chilling portrayal of a cold-blooded psychopathic killer in the film Dushman (1998), for which he won a Filmfare Award for Best Villain. He won the award again the following year for his performance in Sangharsh (1999).Rana has built a diverse filmography across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and other regional languages. His notable film roles include appearances in Raaz, Kasoor, Awarapan, Simmba, and the YRF Spy Universe films War (2019) and Pathaan (2023), where he plays Colonel Sunil Luthra.
