Austin Crute

Austin Crute (born October 24, 1995) is an American actor, singer, songwriter, and producer, originally from Norcross, Georgia. Growing up as a pastor's son, he was exposed to music and theology from a young age, and by 15, he appeared as a contestant on the reality competition "Majors & Minors," which led to a musical album. He graduated from Greater Atlanta Christian School in 2014 and later earned a BFA in Recorded Music from New York University in 2018.Crute gained significant recognition for his role as "Black Justin Bieber" in an episode of Donald Glover's Emmy-winning series "Atlanta" (2016). He made his feature film debut as Alan in Olivia Wilde's directorial debut "Booksmart" (2019) and starred as Wesley Fists in the Netflix post-apocalyptic series "Daybreak" (2019). He has continued to build a diverse filmography, including roles in "Trinkets" (2020), "Call Your Mother" (2021), "Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul." (2022), "They/Them" (2022), and as Morris Martin in the 2024 romantic fantasy film "The Greatest Hits." An openly gay actor, Crute has often portrayed LGBTQ+ characters in his work. As a recording artist, he has released his own music, including the track "Ungodly" and an album titled "NINETY5IVE," showcasing his talent as a sonic chameleon across pop and R&B genres.
