Babak Tafti
Babak Tafti is an Iranian-American actor known for his work across television, film, and theater. Born on April 15, 1985, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he developed a strong foundation in the performing arts, eventually earning his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the Yale School of Drama. Tafti first gained significant attention in the theater world, appearing in notable productions such as The North Pool at the Barrington Stage Company, Blood and Gifts at the La Jolla Playhouse, and the world premiere of The Profane at Playwrights Horizons. He also notably performed as Cassio in the 2018 Shakespeare in the Park production of Othello. In television, Tafti has become a recognizable face through several recurring and guest roles. He is widely known for portraying Eduard Asgarov in the critically acclaimed HBO series Succession and for his series regular role as Emil Michael in the Showtime drama Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber. His extensive television credits also include appearances in Billions, Ramy, Legacies, The Equalizer, New Amsterdam, and Orange Is the New Black. On the big screen, he has appeared in films such as Swallow (2019) and The Feeling That the Time for Doing Something Has Passed (2023). Most recently, he has been cast in the high-profile crime thriller Crime 101, scheduled for a 2026 release.
