Bae Sung-woo is a prominent South Korean actor born on November 21, 1972, in Seoul, South Korea. He is the elder brother of sportscaster Bae Sung-jae. Bae Sung-woo began his career in the late 1990s on the musical stage before transitioning to film and television. He gained significant recognition for his versatile performances, often portraying complex characters with a knack for both smarmy and comedic roles. His breakthrough came with the horror thriller "Office" (2015), which earned him the Discovery Award at the 7th Korea Film Reporters Association (KOFRA) Film Awards. He further solidified his reputation with roles in critically acclaimed films such as "The King" (2017), for which he won Best Supporting Actor at the 54th Grand Bell Awards, "The Great Battle" (2018), and "Beasts Clawing at Straws" (2020).
