Barry Gordon Livingston, born on December 17, 1953, is an American television and film actor with a career spanning over six decades. He went on to appear in various TV shows like The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, The Dick Van Dyke Show, and The Lucy Show before joining My Three Sons as a recurring character and later a series regular. After the show ended, Livingston continued to work steadily in film and television, with credits on shows like Room 222, The Streets of San Francisco, and Doogie Howser, M.D.. He also worked on the stage, including Broadway and off-Broadway productions. In recent years, he has appeared in prominent films such as Zodiac, The Social Network, Horrible Bosses, and War Dogs. He also has guest-starring roles on hit TV series like Mad Men, The New Adventures of Old Christine, and Two and a Half Men. In 2011, he released his autobiography, The Importance of Being Ernie, which chronicles his long career in Hollywood.
