Ben Ashenden is a British-Irish actor, writer, and comedian, born on September 23, 1989, in Watford, Hertfordshire. He is widely recognized as one half of the award-winning comedy duo "The Pin" with Alexander Owen. Ashenden studied English Literature at the University of Cambridge, where he met Owen and co-created their sketch show "Good Clean Men" before joining the Cambridge Footlights and touring internationally.Beyond his work with "The Pin," which has produced several BBC Radio 4 series and a hit West End show "The Comeback," Ashenden has an extensive list of acting credits. His film appearances include "Bridget Jones's Baby," "Sulphur and White," "Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans," "Jurassic World Dominion," "What's Love Got to Do with It?", and the recently released "Deep Cover" (2025), which he also co-wrote. On television, he has featured in popular series such as "Avenue 5," "The English Game," "W1A," "Stath Lets Flats," "Ghosts," and "Black Mirror." As a writer, he has contributed to shows like "Famalam," "Walliams and Friend," and "Tracey Ullman's Show," showcasing his versatile comedic talent. He is also involved in upcoming projects, including a BBC One show and a new sitcom for Channel 4.
