Ben Wang, born on January 1, 2000, in Shanghai, China, is an American actor who gained recognition for his role as Jin Wang in the Disney+ series American Born Chinese (2023) and as Bo in the Disney+ film Chang Can Dunk (2023). Wang immigrated to the United States with his mother at the age of six and grew up in Northfield, Minnesota. He studied musical theater at New York University. Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, Wang is also proficient in various martial arts, including karate, kenpo, kung fu (primarily wing chun), kumdo, and taekwondo. His acting career began with a role in an episode of MacGyver in 2021. He has since appeared in films like Mean Girls (2024) and is set to star as Li Fong, a kung fu prodigy, in the upcoming film Karate Kid: Legends (2025), where he will be guided by Jackie Chan's Mr. Han and Ralph Macchio's Daniel LaRusso. Wang was honored with the Star of Tomorrow award at the CinemaCon 2025 Big Screen Achievement Awards in anticipation of Karate Kid: Legends' release.
