She is the only child of the late actress Carrie Fisher and talent agent Bryan Lourd, and the granddaughter of Hollywood legends Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher. Lourd began her acting career after graduating from New York University, making her film debut alongside her mother in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where she played Lieutenant Kaydel Ko Connix.
