William "Billy" Magnussen is an American actor born on April 20, 1985, in Queens, New York. Growing up, his family moved to Cumming, Georgia, where he attended South Forsyth High School. He pursued his passion for acting by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.Magnussen's career began on the stage, where he made his Broadway debut in the 2007 play The Ritz. He gained significant recognition for his role as Spike in the 2013 play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which earned him a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play.He has since built a versatile career across film and television. His film credits include playing Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods (2014), a lawyer in Steven Spielberg's Bridge of Spies (2015), and a new character, Prince Anders, in Disney's live-action Aladdin (2019). He also appeared as a CIA officer in the James Bond film No Time to Die (2021). On television, he is known for his roles in the soap opera As the World Turns, as Kato Kaelin in American Crime Story, and for starring in the HBO Max series Made for Love. He has a number of upcoming projects, including the film A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.
