Robert "Bob" Peterson (born January 18, 1961) is a highly versatile and influential American animator, director, screenwriter, storyboard artist, and voice actor, primarily known for his extensive work at Pixar Animation Studios. With a background in mechanical engineering from Ohio Northern University and Purdue University, Peterson initially pursued his artistic talents by drawing cartoons for college newspapers before transitioning into animation. He joined Pixar in 1994, where he quickly became a pivotal creative force.Peterson has contributed to many of Pixar's most iconic films. As a screenwriter, he co-wrote the Oscar-nominated "Finding Nemo" (2003) and the critically acclaimed "Up" (2009), for which he also served as co-director. His work on "Up" earned him another Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. He also contributed to the stories of films like "Monsters, Inc."
