Bonnie Lynn Hunt, born on September 22, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American actress, comedian, writer, director, producer, and television host. Raised in a large Catholic family with three older brothers and three sisters, her mother was of Polish descent and her father was of Irish and Belgian ancestry. Hunt pursued Catholic education, attending Saint Ferdinand School and Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago. Before fully committing to her entertainment career, she worked part-time as a nurse's aide and later as a cancer nurse. Hunt's career took off after she co-founded the improvisational comedy troupe "An Impulsive Thing" in the mid-1980s with Joan Cusack and Holly Wortell. Her film debut came in 1988 in "Rain Man," and she went on to establish herself in both comedic and dramatic roles in movies like "Beethoven" and its sequel, "Jumanji," "Jerry Maguire," "The Green Mile," and "Cheaper by the Dozen" films. A notable aspect of her career is her extensive voice work for Pixar, lending her voice to characters in "A Bug's Life," "Monsters, Inc.," the "Cars" franchise as Sally Carrera, and the "Toy Story" franchise as Dolly.
