Bosco Martis
Bosco Martis is an Indian choreographer who is widely known as one half of the celebrated choreographer duo Bosco-Caesar, alongside his partner Caesar Gonsalves. Born on November, 1974, he grew up in Mumbai and attended St. Josephs and Mithibai College, graduating in 1990. The duo started their career as backup dancers before establishing themselves as independent choreographers in 1994, working on stage shows, TV commercials, and music videos like Raageshwari's "Oye Shava." They made their feature film debut in Bollywood with Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Mission Kashmir in 2000. Bosco-Caesar has worked on over 200 songs and 75 films, creating iconic dance routines for blockbuster movies such as Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Swades, Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, and 3 Idiots. Their choreography for the song "Señorita" from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) earned them the prestigious National Film Award for Best Choreography and the Filmfare Award for the same category in 2012. In addition to his choreography work, Bosco Martis has also been involved in television, appearing as a mentor in shows like Fame Gurukul (2005) and Chak Dhoom Dhoom (2010), and as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance India (2017) and Dance India Dance Season 7 (2019). He also ventured into directing, making his directorial debut with the film Rocket Gang, a dance fantasy comedy. The Bosco Caesar Dance Company runs in multiple locations, including Mumbai and cities in Canada and Kolkata.
