Brahmanandam (full name Kanneganti Brahmanandam, born 1 February 1956 in Sattenapalle, Andhra Pradesh) is one of India’s most beloved and enduring comedic actors, primarily celebrated in Telugu cinema. Starting his journey as a Telugu lecturer after completing his MA, he transitioned to acting through mimicry and theatre, making his cinematic debut in Jandhyala’s Chantabbai (1986) and breaking out with Aha Naa Pellanta! (1987) . Over a career spanning nearly four decades, Brahmanandam has appeared in over 1,000 films, earning a Guinness World Record for the most screen credits by a living actor .His impeccable comic timing, expressive facial expressions, and versatility have made him a fixture alongside Telugu superstars—often stealing scenes in films such as Manmadhudu, Ready, Dookudu, and Anaganaga Oka Roju.
