Brandon Victor Dixon is a highly acclaimed American actor, singer, and producer, born on September 23, 1981, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He has established himself as a prominent figure in both Broadway and screen productions. Dixon's extensive career includes multiple Tony Award nominations for his work on stage, notably for his roles as Harpo in "The Color Purple" (2005) and Eubie Blake in "Shuffle Along, or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed" (2016). He also originated the role of Berry Gordy Jr. in "Motown The Musical" (2013), earning a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album, and famously took on the role of Aaron Burr in the Broadway production of "Hamilton."Beyond Broadway, Dixon has a significant presence in television and film. He received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his portrayal of Judas Iscariot in NBC's "Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert" (2018).
