Brec Bassinger
Brec Marie Bassinger (born May 25, 1999) is an American actress best known for her role as Bella Dawson in the Nickelodeon series Bella and the Bulldogs (2015–2016) and as the titular character in the DC Universe and The CW series Stargirl (2020–2022). Born in Saginaw, Texas, she moved to Los Angeles with her mother at age 13 to pursue acting, while her two older brothers remained in Texas. Before her acting career, Brec was active in gymnastics, cheerleading, volleyball, and beauty pageants, winning the 2009 World's Our Little Miss title. She graduated from high school at 16 and has since expanded her education. Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 8, Brec has become a national ambassador for JDRF, advocating for diabetes research and awareness. Her other notable roles include appearances in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019), The Man in the White Van (2023), and the upcoming Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025), where she portrays a young Iris Campbell. Brec is also recognized for her recurring roles in The Haunted Hathaways, The Goldbergs, and School of Rock, and has voiced characters in The Loud House and Dew Drop Diaries.
