Bren Foster is a London-born Australian actor, filmmaker, and martial arts master, widely recognized for his intense and dynamic on-screen presence. Born on November 2, 1976, he moved to Australia at a young age and began training in martial arts at six, developing into one of the world's most acclaimed practitioners. He holds an impressive 7th Dan black belt in Taekwondo, along with black belts in Hapkido, Hwarangdo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, skills he demonstrated as an expert on the National Geographic documentary series Fight Science. Foster is a classically trained actor, having studied at The Barrow Group Theater in New York and the University of Western Sydney. His breakthrough role came in the critically acclaimed Australian film Cedar Boys (2009). Internationally, he is best known as Chief Petty Officer Wolf "Wolf-Man" Taylor on the hit TNT series The Last Ship, a role he held from 2015 to 2018. His film career includes action films like Maximum Conviction (2012) and Force of Execution (2013) alongside Steven Seagal, and he provided the voice and motion capture for the title character in the 2015 Mad Max video game. In 2024, Foster made his debut as a director, writer, and producer with the action-drama film Life After Fighting, which he also starred in.
