Brian Grazer is an American film and television producer and co-founder of the production company Imagine Entertainment, which he established with his long-time partner Ron Howard in 1986. Born on July 12, 1951, in Los Angeles, California, he graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television and later attended USC Law School for a year before pursuing a career in Hollywood. Grazer is an Academy Award, Golden Globe, Emmy, and Grammy Award-winning producer, with his films and television shows having received numerous nominations, including 47 Academy Award and over 200 Emmy nominations. He personally won the Best Picture Oscar for A Beautiful Mind and has been nominated for Best Picture on three other occasions for Apollo 13, and Frost/Nixon, as well as a Best Original Screenplay nomination for Splash. His extensive filmography includes hit movies such as Splash, Parenthood, Apollo 13, 8 Mile, American Gangster, Thirteen Lives, and Hillbilly Elegy. His notable television productions include the Emmy Award-winning series 24 and Arrested Development, as well as Empire and Friday Night Lights. Grazer has also authored the New York Times bestsellers A Curious Mind: The Secret to a Bigger Life and Face to Face: The Art of Human Connection. He was named one of Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World."
